Season Announcement: Leonardo Capalbo begins 2020-2021 Season with Dudamel Concerts

Dudamel Led Beethoven 9th Features Leonardo Capalbo

The Mahler Chamber Orchestra announced today a pair of concerts led by Gustavo Dudamel with Leonardo Capalbo as a featured soloist. The orchestra will present Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony featuring soloists Susanne Elmark, Aigul Akhmetshina, Leonardo Capalbo, and José Antonio López at two venues across Spain: the Palau de la Música Catalana on September 18 and the Teatro Real Madrid on September 19. The orchestra said they “hope to pay tribute to the fight against COVID-19 and celebrate a new beginning.” Following necessary social distancing guidelines, the concerts will be among the first public gatherings since worldwide closures due to the COVID-19 global pandemic.
